To design a point foundation in greenPad, enter the required data:
Starting with "Analysis Parameters", consisting of the national annex and partial coefficients.
Under "Geometry", type in the point foundation dimensions, depth, column eccentricities and dimensions.
Information such as the concrete strength, cement class, but also the CO2 emission of the concrete, is given under "Material Properties".
The soil under the foundation can either be assumed, defined as a single homogene layer, or as multiple layers. Both sand and clay, in both short- and long-term conditions can be investigated.
Under "Loads", add unlimited load combinations, including down- and upwards vertical loads, horizontal loads, moments, surface loads, and load factors.
Under "Loads", add unlimited load combinations, including vertical and horizontal loads, moments, surface loads, and load factors.
As reinforcement, you can add both fiber reinforcement, steel reinforcement or both, to make the solution best suited for your project.
Once all tabs are filled, your results will appear on the left, showing bearing capacities, diagrams, section forces, CO2 emissions, and more, all to be used for verifying and optimizing your design!
Beat your friends to it. See when the next program features are up and running, and be the first to optimize your concrete structures with steel and/or fiber reinforcement.
